8 Days and about 99% done…!!! :)

Yeah, I’m pretty close to finishing…just nitpicking here and there now, but for the most part, I hope the kids enjoys the mural. 12′ x 50′ paintings are no joke! :D

I wouldn’t have gotten this far without the great PTA help. :)

SCES 2010 Mural Project…

Well, looks like I finally caved in and decided to do a large mural for the cafeteria at Stewart’s Creek. Here’s a sketch of the final product (I’ll update this as I go along):

well, the 6th day is about to start today…

oh wow, the mural’s about 80% done! woohoo! :)

list of problems thus far?

1. the double-border i had in mine didn’t work…peeled off the paint when the tape came off, so i decided to just make a solid blue border… *sigh*

2. touch-ups GALORE! tons of touch-ups in the morning… :(

3. lots of time just mulling things over! argghhh!!!

Well, i’ll post pics once it’s “officially” done. ;)

…odds and ends

…finally got around to updating the site with some artwork, mainly stuff in the “Watercolors” portion of the site. It’s mostly horses for…you guessed it! The school! *le sign*

LISD Elementary Art Show – 2010

Now that it’s over, here’s a sampling of my students’ works at the LISD Elementary Art Show:

Well…I finally caved in, and…

…I’m going to paint a mural for the cafeteria wall at Stewart’s Creek. It really does need a fresh coat of paint, you know? The old mural is 24 years old! Really antiquated, and I’m sure there will be some resentment with me painting over it, but it will give the wall a fresh look!

Here’s a preview:
